About

As I started getting older, responsibilities and things to worry about increased. Getting married, having kids, working, owning a house, paying bills, you name it. The stress and anxiety of the rat race became normal, and a topic of conversation amongst our friends.  After a good friend registered high blood pressure at a routine checkup, we joked,”you need to be 120/80.” We were referring to the bp numbers, but also the relaxed, healthy lifestyle you should be living.  Over time, 120/80 became an adjective used to describe all the good things in life and an attitude we strived to live by.

120/80 is more than just a normal healthy blood pressure. It’s about being cool and calm. It’s not worrying about everything. It’s knowing everything is going to be alright. It’s No Stress. Easy Living.

120/80 is a lifestyle that promotes well being. Live 120/80. Be 120/80. It’s not always easy to be 120/80. Sometimes you need to get away to a place that’s 120/80. The beach, the mountains, the lake, the golf course, the camp, the ranch, the backyard with your friends on some lawn chairs.

That 120/80 feeling can come and go. 120/80 is the weekend. It’s finishing up work and heading home. It's Happy Hour. It’s hitting every green light when driving down the street. It’s a quiet house with kids asleep. It’s getting the empty row on an airplane. It’s landing a drive in the middle of the fairway. It’s catching your limit of fish. It’s your football team kneeling out the clock. It’s hitting your over bet in the 3rd quarter. It's your basketball team dribbling out the clock at the end of a game.

These are just a few things that mean 120/80 to me. 120/80 can mean different things to different people. Find yours.
